How to install a fixmykite.com self stick valve?

1. Valve Removal: If replacing valve, carefully peel off old valve. If old valve does peel off, cut around circumference of valve to remove
2. Cleaning: Wipe area where valve will be placed with provided alcohol swab. DRY COMPLETELY WITH A CLEAN PAPER TOWEL.
3. Peel and Stick: Lay bladder out flat. If possible, have a friend lightly hold bladder on table or other smooth even surface. Peel off paper backing, center valve over hole, and place valve on bladder.
4. Press: Press valve from center outward to remove air bubbles and ensure proper adhesion and creases.

*Pro Tip- Use a hair dryer to heat the valve. This makes it easier to remove the valve. After placement of the Fixmykite self stick valve use the hair dryer again to warm the adhesive. Press the valve from the center out massaging and stretching creating positive adhesion. Be careful not to overheat the bladder or new valve.

Add Velcro Option
The "Add Velcro" option provides you with attached Velcro at the base of the valve just as you would see with the original factory bladder.  This part of the valve goes on the inside of the kite casing; the Velcro prevents the bladder from twisting when tightening the screw-cap. 

MEGA Option: The MEGA valve option refers to the size of the TEAR-AID PATCH ONLY.  MEGA patches are 4 inches in diameter as opposed to the standard valve patch which has a 3? diameter. This extra inch means 77% more adhesive base and surface area compared to the standard valve patch size. The MEGA-valve patch is necessary when the old valve is cut from the bladder or leaves a tear during removal. The additional surface area provided by the Mega valve Tear-Aid patch allows quick and easy bladder repair eliminating the need for an additional bladder patch. The Mega Valve Patch can also be used if the valve area of the bladder is warped.

If your old valve(s) cleanly peel(s) off, a larger Mega patch in most cases isn?t necessary.

Add Bladder Patch Install Kit Option
The Bladder Patch Install Kit is for use when your old valve has to be cut out of the bladder leaving a hole larger than the valve. If your old valve peels off of your bladder easily, you do NOT need the bladder patch kit. The Bladder Patch Install Kit includes a 4 X 4 bladder patch protective piece and a 6x6-Inch (15.24 x 15.24cm) adhesive patch.

ShiftLock - ShiftLock is a re-invention of the Bolt Rope system used in sailing - the most common and robust method to fix a sail to a mast. We?ve adapted this method for wing-foiling, using a double bolt-rope track. To prove the system?s strength and durability, we?ve carried out cyclic load and on-water testing for two years without failure or excessive wear. ShiftLock has a breaking load of well over 710kg. We?ve also kept the system light in weight. Two 500mm ShiftLock Carbon handles (with the track) are lighter than two standard 500mm wing handles. The rigid Carbon ShiftLock handles (sold separately) react instantly to your input, while the soft TPU handle ends help protect you and your board. Sonar Stabilizer Shim Kit

The rear Stabilizers' main role is to maintain a level and stable flight path. But conditions and user preference may change what stabilizer angle feels the best (aka the sweet spot). Shimming changes the angle of attack (AOA) and controls the amount of downforce the stabilizer creates on the overall foil system - to increase the stabilizer AOA and front foot pressure, add positive shim. The smallest tweak in the AOA can improve comfort, reduce fatigue, change the cadence of your pump or the turning radius of your carve and increase/decrease your front and rear foot pressure without changing your foot position. With the Sonar Shim Kit you can stack multiple shims, from our base setting it covers from -0.5 to +2.5 degrees. Finetune the way your foil system performs and change the way you ride. You're in control.

The Sonar 1500R is a true crossover wing with real performance across every foiling discipline. So stable, you?ll feel like you?re like standing on the ground. The 1500R is great for prone foil surfing in medium to large waves, has a smooth carvy feel and fits nicely in the pocket. Its predictable lift gives you time to find a comfortable stance without fighting to keep the nose down as the foil accelerates. So you?re able to remain in the same position over the entire speed range. The balance of the foil system means you can place your back foot further behind the mast, letting you ride the board more like a shortboard. Our new, specialised reflexed-camber foil section design gives the wing pitch stability and prevents your board?s tendency to nose up strongly when you first get going. Thus, it eliminates the need for you to change your position to trim the board as you speed up, or as you drop-in on a wave. The Sonar reflexed wings have a relatively large surface area, which makes them highly controllable, with incredible roll and pitch stability. Usually, a large wing means more drag, hence less speed. But because you can position the reflexed wings on the fuselage with a lower angle of attack, they feel smaller than they are in terms of their speed range and responsiveness. North ShiftLock Handle - Carbon
The ShiftLock Carbon handles provide an instant reaction to your input, with the bonus of being able to slide and lock into infinite positions. Carbon ShiftLock handles are purchased separately from the wing, which makes it easy to find your perfect setup. There are four carbon handle lengths, from the single 1100 boom to the 500, 400, and 250 mm handles. Follow the size chart to determine the best handle combination for your wing size. If you're a more experienced rider and you know what you want, then you've got the option to either downsize or go for a boom. The 1100 boom is our lightest handle option. Although it's the longest handle, it only has two connection points, so the overall weight is lower than two separate bars with 4 mounts. This suits a rider wanting a lighter rig for lighter winds and larger wings. The boom is also the most cost-effective option and would suit any rider?s ability; it?s more forgiving because it allows you to slide your hand up and down during tacks. The smaller 250 handles target the more advanced rider looking for targeted positioning.
